Installation Art: “Ahn Jung-geun, the Hero of Great Korea”
This grand work with 4 meters in width and 5 meters in height is composed of 80 letters of Ahn’s sayings which are not drawn by brushes but attached with the hands of the artist. Blue mountains symbolize the fresh spirits of the Korean peninsula and Ahn’s love of peace. The artist wrote the letters in traditional multi-colored paintwork with a hope that Ahn’s teachings would serve as the pillars and rafters of the peaceful global village we are dreaming of and would remain forever in the mind of all mankind. (Artist: installation artist Kang Ik-joong/ Installation: Seo Gyeong-seok, Sungshin Women’s University)
